FourSeasons - Understanding The elements

Our Country in which we fly

Welcome to my website, it is basically an “About Us” Web site that we can share; being still in its infancy at this stage the information might be limited however I add to it quite often and are currently working on the Racing Pigeon Page. I will add an “Article” section soon so keep checking back from time to time.

Through out time there will always be regrets, in a pioneering way we say that things weren’t so bad, followed by ...“I wish I could have” …or…. “If I only had the time to”……and maybe the most painful….. “ I should have said ”…..

As a child, my parents taught me the values of life.

Drummed into us was the appreciation of what was done prior so we could enjoy the comforts we were given, almost to the point of becoming guilty or ashamed, because we have it so easy now.

Growing up on a farm, in the heart lands of

Western Australia where my grand father and father painfully toiled for their lives, at an early age I grew custom to the way of life.

Sitting here now wondering the pains that were taken to tame the country at the hands of my family, seem in vain had it not been for the love of it all. With little money and high costs, time to look for new adventures and for father to rest. His efforts all his life now should be enjoyed before creditors need to be sought to finance the every decreasing margins of survival.

My father spoke of a day, when grandfather and grandmother came to Australia from England. Leaving a comfortable lifestyle, not lavish by counts but with familiar reforms to be accepted to communities with respect. Grandfather’s dream was to come to Australia

and settle and have a life of his own and a better future for his family.

Land he purchased for his dreams, now a family farm, then a bushland of fatal and potent nature. He was excited and grateful yet ashamed at what his wife had to put up with.

Now on land he could call his own but staring at a tin shed no amenities, looking to the love of his life, bursting into tears, sitting on a decaying old whitegum tree.

Traded all for this, all that was said were tears, belief in grandfather was stronger I guess but grief and heart pain she would have carried with her.

I know the love she must have felt for him yet sadly grandfather was a simple, yet honest, strong willed man, with little knowledge of romance.

I would have guessed that Kate would have given up almost everything just to have a glimpse of tenderness

Our Town

Merredin

History in the area is rich and carries with it a combination of warmth, compassion and insurmountable strength. It is where Merredin began, where the town’s character began. People shared a kinship, which could only be formed from hard work, blood, sweat and many many tears. It all still exists today, in the year 2007.

Always proud and strong and never a complaint but if you had the chance to look into her eyes, a sense of emptiness you would see.

My mother Jean Helen, satisfied I guess with the comforts father could provide, left late to marry in life, was caught in the tangle of wars as my father,

Proud to be Australian

Only they could set tales of nineteen thirty nine to forty five,

Top Left

They did have it hard, I can see that and a life’s work should be appreciated,

My opinions are different to my fathers need of financial and social growth.

More along my grandfathers, one of accomplishing dreams and with the influence of what my grandmother forfeited, I search now for the things my experiences forced me to focus on.

Marching for their Grandfather 2007

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

GrandFather William Authur

Touching something that belongs to someone who is felt in our hearts brings a feeling of closeness, a feeling that can be described only if paralleled with the dreams one holds close

Discovering what you want will only come when you choose to look,

Faced with choices few other people I have got to know, now amongst my dearest friends, confide their deepest emotions in search of answers.

No longer society’s ideal world within do we seek comfort from material and economic security, but the love and devotion we can give to the ones we love

TRUST in your relationship is necessary, for without trust a complete peace of mind and surrender to one another is difficult to obtain.
